I need to get more exercise. I've tried joining gyms on several occasions, but after the first month or so I always find myself making excuses to not go. I suspect that if I hired a personal trainer and made regular appointments with him/her, I would keep those appointments. What's everybody doing this weekend?

I'm going down into NYC tomorrow. Tom & I are going to check out the Guggenhiem museum. I'm looking forward to seeing their collection of the Impressionists.

This was yet another in a string of really busy weekends.

Saturday
We helped Mark and Kristina move to their new house. It's a very nice place with lots of public space and an inground pool. They were informed that they'll be hosting the gang's parties from now on. :)

One of the things I'd like to do in 2011 is see a show on Broadway. Somebody told me about Broadway.com, where they list all the shows that are currently playing, and I think some that are upcoming.

There are a bunch of classics that I'd definitely enjoy seeing, but nothing that I'd call a "must see." This is... kind of disappointing.

Body: The pain in my left ankle is not only still there, but it's spread down to my toes and up my calf. It feels like one big charlie horse. When I get home this evening I'm going to try wrapping it in the heating pad for a while and see if that helps. At least nothing else hurts, which is a pleasant surprise after this weekend.

So yesterday I went down to NYC to catch a midnight showing of 2001: A Space Odyssey with a friend. I'd never seen it before, and I'm really glad I went. The movie was fascinating, and hanging out with a friend in the city was a blast. We're going to try to do something similar again, although hopefully with less sleep deprivation.

I'm going on a mini-adventure tonight. A friend discovered that the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey is playing at midnight tonight. It's one of his favorite movies, and it's one I've always wanted to see, so we're going ( Read more... )
